Tired of posting videos that barely get noticed?
I feel you.
We’ve all been there.
Now I don’t have this short form video game figured out 100% by any means…
Yet I keep creating DJ content that goes viral over and over.
How?
Because I understand my niche.
As a fellow DJ, I know my people.
Knowing your audience is key because it’s the foundation for viral content that resonates.
Let me explain…
When I work on a piece of content…
I ALWAYS ask myself 2 questions: ⬇️
Is it valuable to others?
Is it relatable and shareable?
Why?
Because we give content our attention when there’s something in it for us.
I posted 2 reels this past week that have a combined 189k views so far.
This one was super relatable. ⬇️

“Valuable” is perhaps a bit more subjective than “relatable” but if you know your niche well…
Just think about what’s missing and not getting talked about much.
Personally, I love reading and DJing…
So I took a chance and figured I wasn’t the only one.
I made a reel about both WHILE also providing you with the link to buy the books.
Win-Win.
It also didn’t hurt that I filmed it in the most amazing library I’ve ever visited.
(Bonus tip: aesthetics on Instagram still very much count for something)
So there you go!
Social media in the beginning was all “look at me doing this cool thing.”
In 2024, now it’s “look at me doing this cool thing and here’s how you can do it too.”
That’s the main shift.
This past year has been a big reframe for me.
Because every time I intentionally obsess about what’s in it for my audience…
My short form videos perform much better.
