I got an interesting DM yesterday.

Read Time: 2 minutes

A producer hit me up on Instagram:

"I really want to join The Daily Draft Club, but I'm traveling for 10 days in the middle. Should I wait?"

My answer? Hell no.

Here's what I said:

"Let's say you don't hit all 30 days. Let's say you end up with 20 new ideas instead of 30. Is that a loss?"

They joined within the hour.

This got me thinking about perfectionism in a different way.

We're so obsessed with completing things 100% that we talk ourselves out of starting. But starting something new is where most of the growth happens.

My first real estate seminar cost me $2,000.

I never "finished" that seminar because I had to leave early but I still got life-changing value. I didn’t know what I didn’t know. It shifted my mindset and helped me see how I could make real estate investing work for me.

Because of that seminar (and a lot of hard work) I would eventually buy my own house here in Miami and manage 4 short term rentals.

Same principle applies here.

Maybe you miss 5 days of The Daily Draft Club. Maybe you only make 25 sketches instead of 30. Maybe you skip a Zoom call.

You know what you'll still have?

More musical ideas than you've created in months and different ways to create and think about those ideas (I’m spilling all the tea.)

Sometimes one or two insights is all you need to get a return on your money and time.

The Daily Draft Club closes on Friday June 6th.

Next cohort won't happen for months, if at all.

Progress over perfection.

P.S. Doors close Friday at Midnight and our first Zoom call kicks off Monday night. We’ll go over mindset, habits, and workflows.
