Thank you. I mean it.
I was afraid I’d end up writing into the void on this first edition.
So…who’s this newsletter for exactly?
I’m writing this for the curious and intrigued.
More specifically…
Creative entrepreneurs who value art and music but also care about business, brands, and where all these ideas intersect.
Expect a weekly, curated collection of inspiring ideas and fresh finds on:
Tech
Music
Business
I’m also going to break that fourth wall and talk about building my personal brand.
I’ll touch on what’s working and what’s not.
These tips will help you figure out what to do (or not do) as you build your own personal brand.
So now you might be thinking…
“Ok, awesome but why a newsletter?
Because I don’t want Facebook, Google, or any of those other huge tech companies to get in between you and I.
Here’s the thing, my followers on Instagram, X, Tik Tok, etc…
Don’t belong to me…
They belong to Big Brother Tech. 😈
They control what I see and who sees me.
They then use my data to serve me ads while they make all of the money.
It stinks, but let’s be real:
All the attention is on these apps.
If you are building your personal brand—or any brand for that matter…
You have to be on social media.
You can complain about the game or learn how the rules work so you know how to break them to your benefit.
The main idea here is to leverage social media to attract attention and then funnel that attention over to your email list.
Your email list is yours. No one can take it from you and everyone on it has agreed to hear from you on a regular basis.
In a nutshell, your email list is ownership and ownership is key. 🔑
Email isn’t going anywhere and social media is just rented land.
If you don’t have an email list, this is your sign to start building one.
Your future self will thank you.
Now for some goodies!

So although I stopped making new Grey Zone DJ mixes for a few years, I never stopped collecting songs.
So I present…
My Grey Zone Potentials Spotify playlist with over 450 songs.
All yours!
That’s over 25 hours of hip hop, r&b, and dance/club music!
Updated every time I find some new heat. 🔥
I’ve been adding to this playlist for years. Enjoy!
A little housekeeping…
Expect the design and layout of this email to change as I learn the software better.
Future editions of this newsletter will be released every Thursday at 10am.
Also, feel free to give it a little star or mark it as important so future editions can avoid your spam folder.
